Make sure you get your signed copy and original taped receipts in! Approved: Steve has approved your expense! On to General Accounting… Denied: Either CDCI or General Accounting (GA) has denied payment on your expense. Staged: The report is approved and the check is about to be printed. Checks are cut by Procurement every Tuesday and Thursday. NIRS Survey for TA and Training Activities: Paid: The check is in the mail. Usually checks arrive the day of, or the day after, they are cut. An important aspect of our Annual Report is the data collected from surveying participants in Trainings and Conferences. NIRS only requires 1 question. For a copy of the survey you can hand out at trainings, visit the CDCI Employee Resources Website or Click Here! FLSA Definition: Non-Exempt: If you are a non-exempt (NE) employee it means you are not exempt from the laws contained in the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This means that you must be compensated- in either dollars or hours-for any time worked outside the UVM standard 37.5hrs per week for salaried NE employees. The FLSA also requires that NE employees be paid at least min. wage. Click here for more information. 2
