PGM Students Develop Golf Club
Students from the UNLV PGA Professional Golf Management program have teamed up with the Campus
Recreation department to create the UNLV Golf Club. The club is open to UNLV students and faculty
members of all skill levels. In addition to various social and instructional events, the UNLV Golf Club is
planning competitions with other Universities’ club golf teams.
“We know that there are a lot of golfers at UNLV outside the PGA Professional Golf Management program and the golf teams.” said UNLV Golf
Club President Zaanan Tellschow. “We are trying to bring these players
together and create enjoyable ways for golfers of all levels of experience
and playing ability to develop their skills. We are looking forward to further establishing our relationships with other Universities and their club
teams.”
The UNLV Golf Club is currently accepting new members. Please contact
Zaanan Tellschow for more information at [email protected].
Look for updates about the UNLV Golf Club events in future editions of
the Rebel Runner.

Play Golf America Day At Angel Park
On October 9, UNLV PGA Professional Golf Management students held a Play Golf America Day at Angel Park Golf Club.
David Stead, PGA, Head Golf Professional at Angel Park graciously hosted the event which welcomed over fifty participants. The
goal of the event was to promote the game of golf to the greater Las Vegas area by providing free instruction.
In conjunction with this event, the UNLV PGA Professional Golf Management students held a fundraiser to benefit First Tee of
Southern Nevada and the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association. On April 23, UNLV PGM students will participate in a Golf
Marathon on the Cloud Nine course at Angel Park Golf Club. Each player will seek sponsorships with the goal of playing 100
holes each, and raising $10,000 collectively. The money raised will benefit the UNLV PGA Professional Golf Management program and Par for The Cure.
