The young-simpson syndrome: a case report. Adalgisa Natalia, Serafino Buono1, Maria Teresa Amata,2, Michelangelo Ferrara3, Donatella Greco4 The Young-Simpson Syndrome is characterized by multiple malformations and unknown etiology, and is associated with Mental Retardation. It’s a rare syndrome and, indeed, only 11 cases have been so far identified. The evolution of cognitive, adaptive and behavioral characteristics is still unclear. This paper describes a clinical case that, following target-oriented habilitation treatments, showed remarkable improvements in several developmental domains. 1 Unità Operativo di Psicologia, IRCCS Oasi Maria SS., Troina (EN) – Tel: 0935–936111 E-mail: [email protected] 2 Modulo Operativo di Pedagogia, IRCCS Oasi Maria SS., Troina (EN) 3 Dipartimento per l'Involuzione Cerebrale Senile, IRCCS Oasi Maria SS., Troina (EN). 4 Unità Operativo di Pedagogia, IRCCS Oasi Maria SS., Troina (EN)
