He graduated in Art in 1983 and ran his career as painter since 1989. However, his keen interest in visual installations and performances as well as in media and design rose up very soon. Although his research is much concerned with experimental painting, Sampaolo’s vocation to eclecticism has enabled him to challenge the changes throughout the years. He got close to the Underground musical movement in Rome and Italian jazz. Between 1989-93, he thus performed live music and painting in Rome at the Ulisse and A.C.E.A T. theatres as well as at the Palombara Castle, Sabina. More recently, he has performed music and painting with sax player and composer Javier Girotto. In 1998, he took a diploma in Graphic Design. In the following years, he produced advertising videos and short films (in 2004 he directed a cartoon). In 2000, he created his own art gallery in Rome and launched his own creative media company. He collaborated with prestigious brands and fashion houses as a designer. It is particularly worth mentioning his design projects to Nokia mobile’s covers (1999), Slamp’s special edition of lamps (2001), and background scenes commissioned by Ferrone’s top-fashion house. He also drew on his work patterns to design fashion shoes (2010) and bags. In 2003, he organised Benetton’s live show-room where he also performed as an artist. Pubblications Inside Art – Cosmopolitan – Miami News Times – Il Messaggero Sadie Clayton Sadie Clayton is a luxury sculptural womenswear label representing a unique aesthetic in the British fashion scene. The designer’s architectural approach sees avant-garde shapes, manipulating industrial materials and silhouettes to fit the female form. The designer’s signature fabric - and the stone that brings good luck - copper, is prevalent within her collections as is copper sheeting, which has been hammered and heated for a progressive finish. Sadie also has a personal spirituality which she draws on coming from the metaphysical properties of stones, and physiognomy. Themes which have been translated into her garments through their voluminous shapes, or constraints and twisted proportions. The fabrics replicate the texture and composition of the crystals. The eponymous line was launched in 2014 after graduating from Kingston University in 2013 and exhibiting at Graduate Fashion Week, Clayton has gone on to show on the catwalks of London and Berlin and showcasing her ss16 collection at London Fashion Week at the Royal Academy of the Arts. Sadie’s upcoming aw 16 collection will be presented at the Cafe Royal London. Sadie has demonstrated the art of working with copper metals as a part of the Nick Waplington / Alexander McQueen: Working Process exhibition at the Tate Britain, led a workshop at the Tate Modern and was one of 15 designers chosen from across the world to show at the Artisanal Intelligence exhibition part of AltaRoma.
