• I graduated in CHEMISTRY with mark 110/110 Magna Cum Laude at the University “La Sapienza”
of Rome in July 2001. During my thesis, titled “Stereochemistry and reactivity of 5-X-adamantan-2ones in epoxidation reactions”, I studied the epoxidation reaction of a series of 5-X-adamantan-2-ones
with sulphur ylids and I examined the electronegativity effects of remote substituents on the
stereochemistry and on the kinetic of the attack to the carbonyl function. Supervisors: Prof. Giorgio Di
Maio, Dr. Elisabetta Vecchi.

• 2002 Collaboration to the research project “Synthesis of Securinega alkaloids” at “Universitat
Autònoma de Barcelona” as winner of a scholarship of the University “La Sapienza” of Rome.

• 2003 Collaboration to the research project “Synthesis of conductor polymers” at the University of

• 2004/2005 Stage of about six months in Medicinal Chemistry Department of “Istituto di Ricerche di
Biologia Molecolare P. Angeletti” (part of Merck Basic Research Global Sites) in Pomezia (Rome).
