Key words (max 5)
Poly-ADP-ribosylation; NAD+; sulfolobales; octopus; biomarkers
Research projects
-PARP in Eukaryotes.
The ADP-ribosylation system in plants and animals (mammals and octopoda).
Relationship between enzyme(s) structure and function (chromatin organization, DNA
repair, signal transduction, etc.).
-PARP in Archaea.
The ADP-ribosylation system and its multiple roles in Sulfolobus solfataricus.
Evolutionary meaning and biotechnological interest.
-PARP and pathologies.
The ADP-ribosylation system as a tool for prognosis and / or diagnosis of
autoimmunity (Systemic lupus er.) and cancer (melanoma, pesticide-induced
tumors). Possibile therapeutic applications.
-Identification of other biomarkers.
To define advanced strategies for the early detection of biological damage and toxins
in human health and environmental defence.
- Oxidative stress through cis/trans isomerization of unsaturated phospholipids by
gamma-irradiation in the presence of sulfur-containing proteins.
