A multi-disciplinary perspective third edition 2016-2018 This MA is designed to stimulate reflection and debate on crucial topics in substance use and misuse from a multi-disciplinary, European and cross-national perspective. It is run jointly by four universities: Universitas Miguel Hernandez de Elche (Alicante,Spain), Aarhus University (Denmark), Middlesex Univerisity (UK) and Piemonte Orientale University (Italy). Students will have access to a group of European teachers and student and opportunities to study in partner universities or undertake placements in Europe. Substance use and addiction theories b. Drug and alcohol policies in Europe c. Evidence-based practice applied to prevention & treatment d. Responses to the problem of drug abuse and addiction 3) Three e-learning modules to be chosen from the following: a. Research methods for drug and alcohol b. Drugs and crime in Europe d. User perspectives in drug and alcohol treatment e. Cultural and social aspects of drug and alcohol use 4) One intensive week organized by one of the partner universities 5) A not compulsory training in one of the partner university 6) The graduation ceremony at the EMCDDA in Lisbon.
