Guida all’ installazione del prodotto
Importante: Non collegare il dispositivo a una presa multipla o con
protezione da sovratensioni, perché questi dispositivi possono contenere dei filtri e disturbare il segnale. Evitare inoltre di collegare il dispositivo vicino a fonti di disturbo come il caricabatterie del telefono cellulare,
luci alogene, lampadine a risparmio energetico, computer desktop rumorosi, aspirapolvere, ecc.
Entrambi casi risultano in una riduzione di velocità di trasmissione.

Installazione della rete Network Powerline
1. Utilizzare il cavo Ethernet per il collegamento tra il Network Powerline e
la porta Ethernet del PC.
2. Inserire il Network Powerline nella presa di corrente.
3. L’indicatore LED di alimentazione si accenderà dopo l’inserimento.
4. È possibile ripetere i passaggi 1 e 2 per il collegamento di altri dispositivi
a seconda delle vostre esigenze.
5. L’indicatore LINK LED inizia a lampeggiare quando inizia la trasmissione
dati sul Network Powerline
6. L’indicatore ETHERNET LED inizia lampeggiare la trasmissione dati
procede sulla linea Ethernet.
Per condividere un modem o una xDSL per l’ accesso Internet
1. Collegare un Network Powerline al router a banda larga
• Collegare il Network Powerline a una presa CA.
• Collegare il cavo Ethernet in dotazione nel connettore RJ45 del Network Powerline e collegare l’altra estremità del cavo a una porta Ethernet del router.

Come wireless AP (Access Point) Extender
1. Collegare un Network Powerline al router a banda larga
• Collegare il Network Powerline in una presa CA.
• Collegare il cavo Ethernet in dotazione nel connettore RJ45 del Network Powerline e collegare l’altra estremità del cavo a una porta Ethernet del router.
2. Collegare l’altro Network Powerline all’access point wireless
• Collegare il Network Powerline in una presa CA.
• Collegare il cavo Ethernet in dotazione nel connettore RJ45 di rete
Powerline e collegare l’altra estremità del cavo nella porta Ethernet
dell’access point wireless.
Utility Powerline
1. Introduzione
Questo programma consente agli utenti di trovare i dispositivi Powerline
in rete, misurare le prestazioni e la velocità di trasmissione dati, assicurare la privacy ed esegue la diagnostica mediante l’impostazione definita
dall’utente e proteggere le reti Powerline.
2. Installazione
In primo luogo, è necessario verificare che non vi sia alcuna altra utility
Powerline installata sul proprio computer. Se c’è un’altra utility installata,
disinstallarla.
Poi, inserire il CD-ROM dell’utility nel lettore. Il CD aprirà il browser Internet Explorer. il primo step richiederà di installare WinPcap v4.1.1 prima di
installare l’utility Powerline (step 2).
Seguire la procedura di installazione guidata attraverso il processo di installazione.

3. Eseguire l’utilità
Dopo aver installato il programma di utility, eseguire il programma di utilità da Start / Tutti i programmi o fare doppio clic sull’icona dell’utility sul
desktop.
Ci sono quattro schede (Main, Privacy, Diagnostica, Informazioni) nel layout
del programma di utility. Ogni scheda fornisce diverse funzioni. Per informazioni dettagliate su ciascuna scheda e il suo uso si prega di consultare il manuale utente Utility incluso nel CD.

Le funzioni pulsante sono disabilitate in modalità Standby
Utilizzo del pulsante Setup:
1. Configurare la vostra rete privata per la prima volta:
Fase 1. Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante “SETUP” per più di 10 secondi. È possibile rilasciare il pulsante quando tutti i LED del dispositivo sono spenti e si riavviano. L’ impostazione originale di
crittografia della rete viene cancellata.
Fase 2. Ripetere il passaggio 1 per resettare un altro dispositivo.
Fase 3. Premete in entrambi i dispositivi il tasto “SETUP” da 1 a 3 secondi. Vedrete in entrambi i dispositivi i LED “Power” iniziare a lampeggiare. Entrambi i dispositivi iniziano a comunicare e cercare
di impostare la loro crittografia di rete privata. L’operazione si
concluderà entro 10 secondi. Vedrete tutti i LED di entrambi i
dispositivi spegnersi e riavviarsi.
Nota: Il timeout dell’operazione di configurazione è di 120 secondi.
Fase 4. Se l’operazione non ha esito positivo, si prega di ripetere dal
punto 1 al punto 3 nuovamente.
2. Aggiungere un nuovo dispositivo alla rete esistente privata:
Fase 1. Collegare il nuovo dispositivo. Premere e tenere premuto il relativo pulsante “SETUP” per più di 10 secondi per cancellare l’impostazione di crittografia di rete originale.
Fase 2. Premere di nuovo il pulsante “SETUP” da 1 a 3 secondi. Il LED
“Power” inizia a lampeggiare.

Fase 3. Selezionare un dispositivo a caso dalla rete esistente privata.
Premere il relativo pulsante “SETUP” da 1 a 3 secondi. Il dispositivo LED “Power” inizia a lampeggiare.
Fase 4. Il nuovo dispositivo inizia a comunicare con il dispositivo dalla
rete privata esistente, e tenta di unirsi a quest’ultima. La nuova impostazione di crittografia privata della rete si completerà
entro 10 secondi. Si vedrà tutti i LED del nuovo dispositivo spegnersi e riavviarsi dopo aver completato la configurazine della
rete privata.
Nota: Il timeout dell’operazione di configurazione è di 120 secondi.
Fase 4. Se l’operazione non ha esito positivo, si prega di ripetere il punto
1 al punto 3 nuovamente.
3. Lasciare la rete privata:
Fase 1. Se si vuole escludere il dispositivo da una rete privata, tenere
premuto il pulsante “SETUP” del dispositivo per più di 10 secondi per cancellare l’impostazione della crittografia di rete. Questo
dispositivo lascerà la rete privata.
Utilizzo del pulsante reset:
1. Resettare il dispositivo alle impostazioni di fabbrica:
Premere il pulsante “RESET” dispositivo da 1 a 3 secondi. Si vedranno i
LED del dispositivo spegnersi e riavviarsi. Il dispositivo ripristina le impostazioni di fabbrica predefinite.

To install for the PC local Powerline network
1. Use the supplied Category 5 Ethernet cable to connect Network
Powerline and your PC’s Ethernet port.
2. Plug the Network Powerline to outlet.
3. The Power LED indicator will light on after plugging.
4. You can repeat steps 1 and 2 for connecting as many other links
depending on your needs
5. The PL-ACT LED indicator starts blinking when the data communication
proceeds on Powerline.
6. The ETH-ACT LED indicator starts blinking when the data communication
proceeds on Ethernet.
To share a xDSL or cable modem with Internet access service
1. Connect one Network Powerline to the broadband router
• Plug the Network Powerline into an AC outlet.
• Plug the provided Ethernet cable into the RJ45 connector of the Network Powerline and plug the other end of the cable into an available
Ethernet port of the Router.
2. Connect the other Network Powerline(s) to the PC(s) to share the

Powerline Utility
1. Introduction
This Utility Program enables users to find Powerline devices on the network, measures data rate performance, ensures privacy and performs diagnostics by setting user defined secure Powerline networks.
2. Installation
First, you need to verify that there is no other Powerline utility installed
on your computer before installing this utility. If there is another utility
installed, please uninstall.

Then, please insert the Utility CD-ROM into the computer’s CD-ROM drive.
The CD will launch an IE browser. Step 1 will require you to install WinPcap

3.Run the utility
After installing the Utility Program, please run the Utility Program from the
Start / All Programs or double-click the utility icon on the desktop.
There are four Tabs (Main, Privacy, Diagnostics, About) in the Utility program
layout. Each Tab will provide different functions. For detailed information
about each tab and it’s use please refer to the Utility user manual included
in the CD.

Push Buttons

Push button functions are disabled under Standby mode.
Setup Button Usage:
1.First time to setup your private network:
Step 1. Press and hold the device’s “SETUP” button for more than 10 seconds. You can release the button when you see all the device’s
LEDs are off and restart. The original network encryption setting
is cleared.
Step 2. Repeat Step 1 to clear another device’s original network encryption setting.
Step 3. Press both devices’ “SETUP” button for 1 to 3 seconds. You will
see both devices’ “Power” LED start blinking. Both devices start
to communicate and try to setup their private network encryption. They will complete the new private network encryption
setting within 10 seconds. You will see both devices’ all LEDs are
off and restart.
Note: The setup operation timeout is 120 seconds.
Step 4. If failed, please repeat Step 1 to Step 3 again.
2. Add a new device to the existing private network:
Step 1. Plug the new device. Press and hold its “SETUP” button for more
than 10 seconds to clear the original network encryption setting.
Step 2. Press the new device’s “SETUP” button for 1 to 3 seconds. The
“Power” LED starts blinking.

Step 3. Select a random device from the existing private network. Press
its “SETUP” button for 1 to 3 seconds. The device’s “Power” LED
starts blinking.
Step 4. The new device starts to communicate with the device from
existing private network, and tries to join this existing private
network. It will complete the new private network encryption
setting within 10 seconds. You will see the new device’s all LEDs
are off and restart after completing the private network setting.
The existing private network device’s “Power” LED become solid.
Note: The setup operation timeout is 120 seconds.
Step 4. If failed, please repeat Step 1 to Step 3 again.
3. Leave the private network:
Step 1. If the device wants to leave the private network, press and hold
the device’s “SETUP” button for more than 10 seconds to clear
the network encryption setting. This device will leave the private network.
Reset Button Usage:
1. Reset the device to the factory default setting:
Push the device’s “RESET” button for 1 to 3 seconds. You will see the device’s all LEDs are off and restart. The device’s setting resets to the “factory defaults”.

Information for Warranty Service
In the European Union (EU) member countries the legal guarantee concerning product conformity to consumers is valid for 2 years from the date
of purchase. In case of non-compliance the user has the right to demand
the correction of the defects or, in cases provided, the total replacement
of the device, without any additional costs, contacting the store where
the product itself was purchased and exhibiting a copy of the receipt. Any
manufacturer’s warranties shall not affect the consumer’s rights with regard to legal guarantees.
For countries outside the EU reference is made to the regulations in force in
each country with regard to legal guarantee.
Exclusions
The following are not covered by the warranty: products presenting clear
signs of tampering occurred after sale, components subjected to normal
wear and tear, consumable components (e.g.: batteries, toners, cartridges,
etc. .), routine maintenance interventions (e.g.: cleaning operations, replacement of consumable material, etc..) faults or non-compliances due
to: misuse of the product or use not in compliance with the instructions
provided in this manual, natural disasters or uncontrollable events (e.g.:
lightning, fires, flooding), voltage variations, attempted repair by unauthorized technicians.

per le seguenti sostanze: piombo, mercurio, cadmio, cromo esavalente, bifenili polibromurati (pbb) e etile
di difenile polibromurato (pbde).
