It determines the value of the object useful for taxation purposes. PUBLIC REGISTERS of real estate rights and mortgages By registering real estate deeds, it manages the information about the transfer of real estate rights and about mortgage registration. REAL ESTATE MARKET MONITORING SYSTEM It collects and processes information from the real estate market and constantly shows the trend of real estate values. The collections of the deeds and notations, strictly organized on the basis of their submission date, form the real estate registries. By searching them, it is possible to identify the holders of rights and to verify the existence of possible mortgages and other encumbrances. It performs a function of disclosure. The inscription (iscrizione) is the means to record a mortgage. It is an essential duty for the raising of the mortgage. Without the inscription the mortgage does not come to life. The annotation (annotazione) aims at disclosing to the public (inspectable) the events that modify or extinguish a previous registration (transcription, inscription or annotation). From December 2010, some offices are experimenting the online transmission of the deed.
