• Palazzo dell’Archiginnasio, Piazza Galvani 1
– the former headquarters of the oldest University, funded in 1088
– you have to see: Teatro Anatomico (Mon-Sat 9.00-18.45), the old
anatomy lecture room (1637), torn down by bombs during the 2nd
World War and immediately rebuilt afterwards
• Basilica delle Sette Chiese, piazza Santo Stefano
• The twin towers (Asinelli and Garisenda), overlooking
Bologna since the XII century, already mentioned in the
