Introduction
REEF RE-Energy Foundation acts as an NGO
. aiming to promote and disseminate the
advantages deriving from the use of renewable
energy. In particular its main goal is to stimulate
the green electricity demand among the end
consumers with appropriate guarantees.
Members of REEF are all the subjects that intend
to support the diffusion of final use of green
electricity as end consumers, associations, NGOs,
RE producers and distributors.
100% Energia Verde Guarantee
A Guarantee Committee, composed mainly by
Consumer Associations, Environment NGOs,
end consumers and RE Producers assures that:
• The green electricity is produced only by
sustainable RE power plants (No extra large
Hydro [exceeding 50 MW], No extra Large
biomass plants [exceeding 30 MW])
• The end consumers are not involved in unfair
activities (against human rights, environment, …)
100% Energia Verde Guarantee
The guarantee that end consumers is really using
green electricity is assured by a Certification Body,
which matches the amount of electricity consumed
by the customers at the end of the year with the
amount of the green electricity bought.
As evidence of the effective green electricity
consumption, a certification is released by the
Certification Body.

A step forward
New decisions has to be adopted in order to
enlarge the consensus on the showed
certification scheme:
• Increasing of REEF participants to facilitate the
discussion on certification scheme and the
integration with other systems (CO2, voluntary
agreements, …)
• Simplification of certification procedures in order
to raise the transparency and robustness of the
scheme and to lower the certification costs.
