PRIMO CONIUGAZIONE First conjugation verbs end in –are, such as: Parlare Compare Lavorare Cominciare PRIMO CONIUGAZIONE When conjugating a verb that ends in –are, you must drop the –are Parlare When you drop the –are you are left with Parl PRIMO CONIUGAZIONE Then you add the appropriate ending. Parlo (I speak) Parli (You speak) Parla (He/She speaks) Parliamo (We speak) Parlate (You guys speak) Parlano (They speak) SECONDO CONIUGAZIONE Second congiugation verbs end in –ere, such as: Prendere Ricevere Credere SECONDO CONIUGAZIONE Then you add the appropriate ending. Credo (I believe) Credi (You believe) Crede (He/She believes) Crediamo (We believe) Credete (You guys believe) Credono (They believe) SECONDO CONIUGAZIONE When conjugating a verb that ends in –ere, you must drop the –ere Credere When you drop the –ere you are left with Cred TERZ0 CONIUGAZIONE Third congiugation verbs end in –ire, such as: Dormire Servire TERZO CONIUGAZIONE When conjugating a verb that ends in –ire, you must drop the –ire Dormire When you drop the –ire you are left with Dorm TERZO CONIUGAZIONE Then you add the appropriate ending. Dormo (I sleep) Dormi (You sleep) Dorme (He/She sleeps) Dormiamo (We sleep) Dormite (You guys sleep) Dormono (They sleep) TERZO CONIUGAZIONE: VERBI ISC There are a large amount of verbs in this category that are labeled isc verbs because the isc is added between the root of the verb and the ending. Finire Fin isc o (I finish) Fin isc I (You finish) Fin isc e (He/She finishes) Finiamo (We finish) Finit (You guys finish) Fin isc ono (We finish) ****Notice that the Noi and Voi forms do not have the isc in between TOCCATE VOI (YOUR TURN) Now you try to make sentences with these verbs and subjects Subjects Verbs Io Pulire Tu Parlare Marco ed Io Mangiare Cinzia Dormire Carlo e Cinzia Ricevere Vittorio e tu Compare SAMPLE SENTENCES Pulisco la casa.
