How Can We Help?! UNO Assessment and Interven0on Clinic ! The University of Nebraska at Omaha Assessment and Intervention Clinic is a service for children who are struggling with academics. The clinic provides training opportunities for graduate students who are working on a Master’s degree in Special Education to work with children from the community.! ! ! The UNO Assessment and Intervention Clinic offers assessment and intervention services. Graduate students taking a course in advanced assessment and intervention and holding a current teaching certificate assess a child’s academic skills and implement researchbased interventions based on the results for each child. Participation in the clinic allows graduate students to apply knowledge acquired in their courses about assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. ! ! The UNO Assessment and Intervention Clinic is located on the campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, on the northeast corner of 60th and Dodge, in Roskens Hall, room 512. Our phone number is 402.554.2201. Parking for our clinic is provided in a lot on the north side of Roskens Hall (on map in red, permit required) or the parking structure (for $2.00 /day).! ! The Special Education Program is dedicated to providing excellent services to our community, while giving our graduate students the opportunity to learn and develop their assessment skills. Our mission is to prepare students for completion of a Master’s degree, which includes assessing individual students and making instructional decisions based on these assessments. We strive to provide high quality ! services, produce positive outcomes, treat all equitably, and ensure strict confidentiality. ! P My child really enjoyed coming and it seemed to help motivate her! Clinic Hours! ! The UNO Assessment and Intervention Clinic operates in the spring semester in conjunction with an advanced assessment class. The clinic meets on Tuesday nights from 4:45 to 6:15 beginning in late January and ending in April. ! !
