Sub VS10
Active Processed Subwoofer
BESCHREIBUNG

4. PHASE 0° - 180° Schalter:: Mit diesem Schalter kann die Signalphase des Subwoofers
invertiert, also um 180° gedreht werden.
5. XLR Eingangsbuchsenanschluss: XLR- und Klinke-Eingangsbuchsen zum
Anschließen des zu verstärkenden Signals.

DESCRIZIONE
IN GENERALE
potrete utilizzare Sub VS10 come EXTENDED SUBWOOFER, ampliando così l’impatto

filtro di cross-over.
LEFT e disabilitando i connettori INPUT RIGHT.

Interruttore ON/OFF: é presente sul pannello posteriore l’interruttore di accensione /

DESCRIPTION
IN GENERAL
The Sub VS10 is a new speaker unit created by VOICE SYSTEMS for the use of portable
amplification systems, monitoring systems and fixed installations in the most widely varying
situations.
Thanks to a 250W (IHF) amplifier combined with a processor, and the use of tough,
lightweight materials for construction of the cabinet, the Sub VS10 allows unlimited
versatility in use.
Sub VS10 as well all other loudspeaker of the Voice Systems series are easy to use and
to carry. These setups are ideal for various installation: either for a piano-bar or for fixed
installation in all room.
THE CABINET
The cabinet is built in plywood, clad throughout with scratch-proof paint and protected on
the front by a solid metal grille. This tough, compact structure guarantees the reliability of
the Sub VS10 even in the most critical situations.
AUDIO QUALITY
The Sub VS10 broadcasts the signal by means of speakers built to VOICE SYSTEMS
specifications with carefully selected, quality-controlled materials. Sub VS10 has been
studied in order to provide a linear response also at the high frequencies granting at the
same time an high sound pressure and an extremely clean sound.
Sub VS10 is equipped with a 10” high power loudspeaker with a bass-reflex
configuration whilst the 250 W (IHF) amplifier is equipped with an anti-clipping
circuit.
Furthermore, thanks to the cross-over filter, the outputs suit very well to other loudspeaker.
It will be possible to send out signals passing through the crossover and signals not passing trhough the crossover at frequencies lower than 150 Hz. This is very useful when the
loudspeaker connected to the Sub VS10 are not suitable for too low frequencies. In such
a case you can also use Sub VS10 as an EXTENDED SUBWOOFER enlarging the bass
sounds.
This allows the Sub VS10 to perfectly fit with all other loudspeaker of this serie
creating efficient installations with a response till the lowest frequencies (40 Hz).

9
N.B.: the drawing refers to the the controls and connectors on the metal back panel.
1. Jack-XLR OUTPUT LEFT/RIGHT: These are Jacks and XLR balanced outputs in order
to send the signal of the INPUTS (also if passing through the cross-over).
2. OUTPUT XOVER-FLAT switch: switch on or off for the cross-over filter on the output
signals of the Outputs. In the Off position the signals with frequencies lower than 150
Hz will be filtered only when eventual other loudspeaker connected to Sub VS10
will not support these frequencies. In the On position will be sent out non-filtered
signals.
3. LEVEL trimmer: trimmer for regulating the level of the signal reaching the power
amplifier, to allow it to be adapted to the level of the sound source connected.
4. PHASE 0° - 180° switch: through this switch you can invert the phase of the signal on
woofer.
5. Jack-XLR INPUT connectors: Jack-XLR input connectors for connection of the signal
to be amplified.
6. L/MONO - STEREO switch: in order to send a mono signal to the Sub VS10 you
have to push this switch using in this way only the Jacks and/or XLR INPUT LEFT
and disconnecting the INPUT RIGHT connectors. Release this switch if the input
signal is stereo so that you may utilize both input sections.
N.B.: if you utilize a mono signal connected only to the INPUT LEFT connectors
without having selected the right configuration through the above mentioned switch,
the amplifications of the signal will be cutted by half.
7. GND LIFT switch: switch which allows the amplifier ground to be disconnected from
the chassis. However, the speaker ground connection remains unchanged. This is
useful in situations where ground loops occur, causing hissing if more than one device
is connected to the same power supply socket.
3

8. LED LIMIT: when this LED is on, it shows the intervention of the limiting device as the
level of the signal is over the safety limit.
9. ON LED: indicates that the speaker is receiving power.
Power supply input: Is on rear panel the input power connector to the net cable supplied
from the factory with the loudspeaker. Internally this input is fitted with a fuse ( T2AL for the
250VAC version ---T4AL for the 120 VAC version) that can be taken out with a screwdriver
opening the wicket.
ON/OFF switch: On rear panel the switch for on/off switching of the Sub VS10 .
