Salem Revised Code Chapter 75 provides
authority to administer the Erosion Control
Program*
“City policy requires that temporary and permanent
measures be taken for all construction and land
development projects and ground disturbing activities to
prevent the adverse effects of site erosion and sediment
runoff.”

Chapter 75 is currently undergoing revision.

Revisions will be complete and implemented
by January 1st 2014, in accordance with the
renewal of our MS4 Permit.

Revisions will include enforcement plan and a
sliding scale of penalties for infractions.
