Manning Awards Foundation - Encana Principal Award (The award is given to Canadians who have demonstrated recent innovation talent in developing and successfully marketing a new concept, process or procedure.) • Werner Ens (Physics and Astronomy) • Ken Standing (Physics and Astronomy) Standing and Ens are the first University of Manitoba professors to win the Encana Principal Award, the highest honour given by the Ernest C. Manning Awards Foundation. Rhodes Scholarship (The Rhodes Scholarship is a postgraduate award supporting exceptional students at the University of Oxford in England. Established in the will of Cecil Rhodes in 1902, the Rhodes is the oldest and perhaps one of the most prestigious international scholarship programs in the world.) • Melissa Bailey Glenn H.
