The faculty and staff at both West Chester University and Universidad Nacional are hard at
work planning the Knowledge Crossing Borders Conference and concurrent Global Presidential
meeting on the Future of Higher Education this coming October, 2014. Building upon the past
two jointly planned and sponsored conferences in 2010 and 2012, this conference will be
another unique opportunity to share current research and contemporary best practices with
colleagues around the world and to establish networks that will support international
cooperation well into the future.
Excitement about the Conference is continuing to build as paper proposals are received and
reviewed. Participants still have time to submit their proposals. The entire planning
committee and I hope you consider submitting a proposal. Details on submitting proposals
are available on the Call for Papers” link on this website.
This year, the conference is being held on the campus of Universidad Nacional in Heredia, Costa
Rica, which is a most attractive location close to San Jose and San Santamaria International
airport. Plan to spend a few days after the conference to enjoy many of the country’s tourism
locations from an active volcano to lovely water gardens or to simply relax along the beaches
on the Pacific Coast.
