OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT March 28, 2014 To the Faculty and Staff at Texas A&M University The health and well-being of those in our campus community are among our highest priorities. Not only does good health benefit each of us individually, but it also helps us sustain the culture of excellence for which Texas A&M is known. Our new, university-wide wellness program, “Wellness Works,” is intended to help employees in three areas that are critical to well-being: physical, financial and interpersonal. You will have several opportunities to get involved. First, please complete a short survey that you will receive soon to help shape program activities that will meet your needs. Also, as a member of the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce, the university is helping coordinate the Chamber of Commerce Water Cooler 5k Fun Run on May 29, with check in at 3:00 p.m. This event occurs during standard working hours and supervisors are authorized to allow staff to participate, to the extent possible, without requiring vacation leave.
