Speaker
Steve has considerable experience in consulting to the healthcare industry on a wide
range of issues such as strategy, new product/business development, manufacturing
and regulatory. Steve also has over seventeen years of management experience in
pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and medical devices R&D. He took part in the
development and launch of world class drugs and diagnostic tests.
Within PwC, Steve leads the Global Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences Advisory Team
where he works extensively with senior management, leading multi-national programs.
He lead the recently released thought leadership report Pharma 2020. Previously, he
authored the highly acclaimed “Pharma 2005: An Industrial Revolution in R&D”,
“Pharma 2005: The Race to e-R&D”, “Pharma 2005: Marketing to the Individual” and
“Pharma 2010: The Threshold of Innovation”.

Steve Arlington
Steve is a visiting professor at University College London, Department of Biochemical
Engineering and is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine, the Drug Information
Association (DIA). He teaches at FDA, SFDA and EMA Drug Development Programs.
He holds a PhD in Immunopharmacology from the University of Birmingham.
