Further increase of worldwide robot sales
in 2012 by 9%
 Automotive industry and electronics industry are the drivers
of the growth
 Main impulses from North America, China, Brazil, Centraland Eastern European countries as well as from Japan
 Moderate growth of robot supplies to Korea
 Considerable increase in 2012 and beyond in Taiwan
 Robot sales in Germany will reach almost the peak level of
2011
 Decrease in some Western European countries
Hosted by
2013 – 2015: annual growth of 5% on
average per year is possible
 Opening up of huge consumer markets in Asia and South
America
 Energy-efficiency and light weight construction
 Easy-to-use robots and robots collaborating with human
workers
 Improved and easier integration of industrial robots
 The automotive industry will continue to be the innovator
for new technology.
 Electrical/electronics industry will continue to automate in
order to increase productivity and to improve quality of
work for employees
 Cyclical decrease of investments of the automotive industry
is likely in 2013 and 2014.

Risks of continued growths
 Financial problems of the major markets may reduce
growth of the world economy or even cause a recession.
 Planned investments might be restrained for a while.
 Trend toward automation cannot will continue sooner or
later
 Because it is necessary
 to increase productivity, profitability

to guarantee sustainability of industrial production

To abolish dangerous, tedious and dirty working
conditions for human workers worldwide

robots provide the only solution
