Over the years, Thailand has seen a positive growth in broadband, in term of both penetration and investment. In 2012, broadband access reached 21.77 percent of the overall household. DIGITAL ECONOMY POLICY VISION Thailand will transform its socioeconomic landscape and business paradigm, through digital infrastructure and innovation, leading to a steady growth in business and economic activities as well as an inclusive approach to social development Goal 1. Pervasive digital infrastructure can be accessed seamlessly and affordably by all. 2. Public services can be easily accessed by all. 3. New businesses and new jobs are generated. 4. Thai workforce is positioned and trained to compete in modern trade. 5. Digital Industries will contribute at least 18% to national GDP by 2018. 6. Digital business ecosystem is realized in response to the dynamics of digital economy. 7. Thailand’s ICT readiness is enhanced significantly.
