This document contains detailed tables and charts about international transport flows to and from ten Latin American
Countries covered by the International Transport data Base (BTI) of UNECLAC. It includes unique information about the
use of transport modes in international trade, cost of international freight and insurance and the traded commodities. Data
is annual, for the year 2006, and grouped by Standard International Trade Classification (SITC) codes.
The opinions expressed in this document, which has not been edited, are those of the authors and do not necessarily
coincide with those of the Organizations.
Notes and explanation of abbreviations
The abbreviations “n.a.” or “n.d..” indicate that the item in question is not available.
The abbreviations “LAC” or “Other LAC” correspond to Latin American countries and Other Latin American countries,
respectively
Reference to “tons” mean metric tons, and to “dollars” United States dollars.
Individual figures and percentages in tables may not necessarily add up to the corresponding total, because of
rounding.
