November 2001 – November 2006: Contract professor and research fellow at the University of Macerata –
„Department of Studies on Economic Development‟.
June 2004 – June 2006: Co-responsible (together with Samuele Animali) for the research project "Knowledge
transfer from new universities to the local productive systems of the Marche region", funded by the
Foundation Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi and the 'Institute for university education Fondazione Angelo
Colocci. The final output of the research project has been published in the book “Diffusione geografica
dellle sedi universitarie e sviluppo locale. Knowledge impact nel caso delle Marche” (see the
publication section in this cv).
November 1999 – October 2001: Ph. D. student: Max-Planck-Institute for Research Into Economic Systems,
Jena, Germany (1st and 2nd year).
November 1998 – November 1999: research assistant: Department of Economics, University of Ancona.
November 1997 – September 1998: fellowship for the development of the Economic Development Plan of the
National Park of the Sibillini Mountain.
TEACHING ACTIVITIES
AT THE UNIVERSITY OF URBINO
– 2013, course on “Global Political Economy”, within the International Academic Program of the
University of Urbino (the 50 hours‟ course has been hold in English).

2013, course on “International Economics” (15 hours ) within the Master‟s degree (2nd level) in “Arabic
Chinese, Russian: language, culture and business internationalization” of the University of Urbino.

– 2005 and 2006, 8 hours lectures on the “Theory of the Firm” within the Ph.D. in Story of Economic
