From the Deacon’s desk . . .
A note from Fr. Wayne . . .
I want to thank everybody for their attention during
the Year End Financial Reporting last weekend. It is
never easy speaking about finances for me, so I truly
appreciate your support. The Finance Council will
meet this week and put the final touches on the new
fiscal year budget. Next weekend, the the proposed
budget will be inserted in the bulletin. I sincerely
hope that together we can build a good fiscal
foundation for our parish. Be most assured of my
prayers for each of you as we go forward and make
the parish stronger. In the weeks to come, I will
speak about the Grand Annual which has been
scheduled for October 24th and 25th. Thank you.
Promises of Our Lady of Sorrows
To Saint Bridget of Sweden, Our Lady revealed the
graces Her Beloved Son would grant to the Faithful,
who daily prayer seven Hail Mary’s while reflecting
upon Her Seven Sorrows. The graces are:
1. “I will grant peace to their families.”
2. “They will be enlightened about the Divine
Mysteries.”
3. “I will console them in their pains and I will
accompany them in their work.”
4. “I will give them as much as they ask for as
long as it does not oppose the adorable will of
my Divine Son or the sanctification of their
souls.”
5. “I will defend them in their spiritual battles
with the infernal enemy and I will protect them
at every instant of their lives.”
6. “I will visibly help them at the moment of
their death—they will see the face of their
mother.”
7. “I have obtained this grace from my divine
Son, that those who propagate this devotion to
my tears and sorrows will be taken directly from
this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all
their sins will be forgiven and my Son will be
their eternal consolation and joy.”

for Religious Education classes, or still need to pick
them up, please do so as soon as possible. If you are
aware of a family who might like to register in our
Religious Education Program, please have them call
the Holy family Center at 671.567.6509.
If your child attends public school (grades
1-10), you must register them for classes. Please note
that both the First Holy Communion and Confirmation are two-year programs. If your child attends a
Catholic School (grades 2, 9, or 10), you must also
register them for the Sacraments. Forms are located
at the Church doors or on the parish website.

Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday after the
8:00 a.m. daily Mass. Also the Rosary is

SAINT JOSEPH PREPARATORY HIGH SCHOOL
Saint Joseph Preparatory High School in Boston, a co-ed Catholic, independent school which offers shuttle bus
transportation from area commuter rail stops, will offer a five session Test Prep for the Catholic High School
Entrance Test (HSPT) in the fall for students who seek to maximize performance for admission and scholarship opportunities. Space is limited and registration is available on a first come, first serve basis. Entrance testing in the Archdiocese is scheduled for November 7th and December 5th and will also be offered at Saint Joe’s.

Giosuè, figlio di Nun, servitore di Mosè fin dalla sua
adolescenza, prese la parola e disse: «Mosè, mio signore, impediscili!». Ma Mosè gli disse: «Sei tu geloso
per me? Fossero tutti profeti nel popolo del Signore e
volesse il Signore porre su di loro il suo spirito!».
LA TENTAZIONE DI MONOPOLIZZARE DIO
Lo Spirito di Dio spira dove e come vuole. Dio può
suscitare figli di Abramo anche dalle pietre. La sua
voce può servirsi, per farsi sentire, anche degli strumenti più impensati. È questo il senso teologico
della la lettura: Dio è essenzialmente libero nel concedere i suoi doni. Egli agisce al di fuori degli schemi mentali usuali e delle strutture consacrate, concedendo la «profezia» anche a chi è fuori della
tenda.
