Alessandro Settepani, Country Head Fitch Italia S.p.A.
Alessandro Settepani is Country Head and Head of Business and Relationship
Management team for Fitch Ratings in Italy.
Before becoming Country Head for Italy, Alessandro spent 8 years in the analytical
team. He was Head of the Southern European Covered Bond team in London covering
Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Greece for 3 years; previously to that he was Head of
Fitch’s Italian structured finance group in Milan for 6 years.
Alessandro is author of a number of publications regarding Credit Risk, Corporate
Analysis, Covered Bonds and the Securitisation market.
Before joining Fitch in August 2002, Alessandro worked for 10 years as an officer in
the banking supervision department at the Bank of Italy. He specialized in the analysis
and validation of market risk management systems and credit risk management
systems of Italian banks.
Alessandro is a visiting Professor at Liuc University Castellanza and visiting lecturer at
SDA Bocconi Milano.
Alessandro holds a Laurea in Political Science from Università la Sapienza in Rome,
Italy and an MSc in International Banking and Finance from the University of
Reading, UK.
