Agent Installation For step-by-step instructions on installing a monitoring agent please refer to the "Installing monitoring agents" and "Installing and enabling application support" sections in Chapter 8 of the "IBM Tivoli Monitoring Installation and Setup Guide" found at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/tivihelp/v15r1/topic/com.ibm.itm.doc_6.2.2fp2/itm_install.pdf Agent Configuration After successfully installing one or more agents from the IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for Microsoft Applications product, the agents must be configured and started. Please refer to Chapter 2 in each agent's User's Guide for agent specific configuration information as well as instructions on starting and stopping the agent. Prerequisites IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.2.2 Fix Pack 2 (FP2) or later. Please refer to Chapter 2 in each agent's User's Guide for agent specific prerequisites and supported platforms. Environment limitations 1. The agents in this driver should only be installed in a fresh environment. 2. Following agents will be participating in Beta program 1. AD Agent 2. BizTalk Agent 3. .NET Framework Agent 4. Exchange Agent 5. Host Integration Server Agent 6. Hyper-V Agent 7. IIS Agent 8. MSCS Agent 9. Lync Server Agent 10. SharePoint Agent 11. SQL Server Agent 12. Network Devices Agent Note: o o 3. 64 bit agent binaries are available for all the agents except Network Devices Agent Itanium support has been removed from ITCAMMA v6.3 for the agents who supported Itanium OS viz. Active Directory, SQL, MSCS, IIS and .Net Framework. "Application Launchpad and Discovery & Deployment" feature is available in this image. To enable this feature TEPS and TEPD support installation will be required. Application LaunchPad and Discovery & Deployment Installation Steps to install Application LaunchPad and Discovery & Deployment component are as below: a. Install the TEPS and TEPD support for "Discovery and Deployment" b. For Windows TEPS System, execute the KM1_ImportDnDviews.bat from the folder <Candle_Home>/cnps/Products/KM1. It prompts for TEPS User name and password. Provide the required information. c. For Non-Windows TEPS machine, execute the KM1_ImportDnDviews.sh from the directory Candle_Home>/<Arch>/cq/Products/KM1. It prompts for ITM install directory path. Enter the <Candle_home> path e.g. opt/IBM/ITM Next, it prompts for TEPS username and password. Provide the required information. Prerequisites a. b. c. For windows TEPS machine, The System environmental “PATH” variable must be set for NMAP executable, so that discovery application can find nmap and use it for discovery purpose. For deployment of OS agent, the depot for OS agent should be added into the TEMS. For deploying OS agent, application prompts for credentials of target agent machine. Provide local user credentials of the agent machine. Domain user account credentials will not work. Environment limitations Deployment of OS agent does not work when the "Security:Validate User" option is checked in the TEMS configuration panel. 4. TCR data models and reports (Cognos Based) are included in the beta image for the followings 1. Host Integration Server Agent 2. SharePoint Agent 3. Hyper-V Server Agent 4. IIS Agent 5. BizTalk Server Agent 6. Lync Server Agent 7. SQL Server Agent 8. Exchange Server Agent 9. Active Directory Agent 10. Cluster Server Agent 11. .NET Framework Agent New Features in drop-1 Prerequisite scanner reports for IIS, MSCS, HV, BizTalk, and HIS agents Known defects Common Defects affecting all agents - None AD Agent Defects - None BizTalk Agent Defects - None .NET Framework Agent Defects - None Exchange Server Agent Defects Defect (84697): Agent showing incorrect data for 'MS Exchange IS HA Active Database->Total Log Bytes Generated' and 'MS Exchange Submission ->Failed Submissions' attributes. Workaround: None. Host Integration Server Agent Defects - None Hyper-V Agent Defects - None IIS Agent Defects - None MSCS Agent Defects - None SharePoint Agent Defects - None SQL Server Agent Defects Defect (85255): The collector exe gets stopped after couple of days. Workaround: None. Network Devices Agent Defects - None Lync Server agent Defects - None Application Launchpad and Discovery & Deployment Defects - None .NET Data Collector All the limitations that are mentioned in the 'Problems and workarounds' topic in the .NET Data Collector V731 User's Guide are still applicable in addition to the following problems and workarounds: Problem: One way web services are called asynchronously and the user does not wait for a response from the server. All interception points of the SOAP component of.NET data Collector are not called because of which the Async arrow is seen. Workaround: None Problem: If all interception points for the SOAP component of the .Net Data Collector are not called, the web service nodes are displayed as .asmx or .svc. If the .NET Data Collector KD4 logging is enabled, the following message is seen in the logs: "object reference not set to an instance of an object" Workaround: None Problem: The RedirectoToAction method is not monitored by .NET Data Collector in this release. So seperate nodes will be seen for each redirection. Workaround: None TCR Defects Common Defects affecting all agents: Problem: Images are not displayed correctly in reports at TCR Server 3.1. Workaround: You need to copy the images manually (Unzip the package, copy images from packages->Agentname->images) to the following two locations: a. TCR Server Installation Drive\Program Files\IBM\JazzSM\profile\installedApps\JazzSMNode01Cell\IBM Cognos.ear\p2pd.war\tivoli\tcr_common\images b.
