Art and culture are blended in one
of the most breathtaking landscape,
where Dante Alighieri created his
entire “Divina Commedia” masterpiece.
The sublime poet from Florence, exiled
for long years, lived the last period of
his life in Ravenna, where he passed
away and was buried.
Afternoon and evening free
Travelling between Romagna and
Firenze and following the footsteps of
Dante are part of the same itinerary
philosophy. On the road of Dante, you
will encounter unique landscapes, olive
trees, old vineyards and ancient farm
houses, up to where the wild beech
and chestnut forests, mule tracks
and hills; as far as the eye can see,
meet with the Regional Park of “Vena
del Gesso”. “Vena del Gesso” is the
only geological formation in Europe
entirely made of gypsum - so precious
for our handcrafted ceramics. The
discovery of this artistic heritage will
turn your route into an amazing Italian
experience.

and speaking in the classroom, as well
as within the workshops organized by
the International Museum of CeramicsMIC.
