Next Week’s Focus: Winter/Winter Fun Letter Ff Letters/Letter Sounds Complex Patterns Beginning Rhyming Writing First (Last) Name Cold Weather Please dress your child appropriately for the weather. If it is cold, please send a jacket (and a hat and gloves if you have them). We are allowed to go out as long as the weather is 40 degrees and above. Also, please remember to change out your child’s set of extra clothes (the ones in their cubby) to fit the cooler weather. FYI: the conference will be here on campus and can be done before or after school. Homework: Friday, Jan. 8th Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Upcoming School Events Jan. 8: Parent Committee Meeting Jan. 15: Policy Council Meeting Jan. 19-Feb. 12: Parent Conferences Jan. 25: PTA Meeting Jan. 28: Literacy Fair Your homework this week is to complete the two Pattern Worksheets. You will need to walk your child through each line of the worksheet. For example on page 1: The child will tell you…circle, square, circle, square. Then they will need to figure out what comes next in the pattern (either the square or circle) and circle the correct answer. We have been doing patterns for a few weeks now so the kids should be able to complete these worksheets easily. Return the worksheets by Friday to receive your volunteer hours for the week. © 2003 by Education World®.
