Adjacent to Manzo, Eataly’s fine dining restaurant, La Scuola Piccola is an ideal location for business functions, social gatherings and numerous festive occasions. Manzo offers modern Italian preparations as well as traditional antipasti and secondi featuring Piemontese beef. PRIVATE LUNCH OR DINNER Menu to follow. We offer a comprehensive selection of Italian wines, craft beer, as well as a full bar and a selection of signature cocktails. APERITIVO RECEPTION For groups of 14 guests or fewer. Add 1 hour of chef’s selection of salumi & formaggi, 3 stationed hors d’oeuvres and beverages to any 3, 4 or 6 course menu. Private semi-hands-on cooking classes at La Scuola are excellent teambuilding exercises for groups of up to 20 guests. Groups choose between a Fresh Pasta class, Gnocchi class, Pizza class or a seasonal cooking class that includes a field trip to the Union Square Greenmarket. Each class includes a hands-on component in which the guests will try their hand at making either pizza, pasta or gnocchi while the Chef of La Scuola prepares their meal, which will also be paired with 3 wines or beers, chosen and explained by our Sommelier. Guests take home menus, wine/beer tasting notes and adapted recipes. Classes run approximately 2 hours in length. PRICING Fresh Pasta, Gnocchi and Pizza Classes: $230/person, Minimum $3,000, Maximum 20 guests Field Trip to the Greenmarket: $5,000, Maximum 12 guests CLASS OPTIONS Fresh Pasta The perfect fresh pasta is the result of few carefully selected ingredients, a well-crafted dough and the art of creating the perfect shapes for the perfect sauces. Learn all of these techniques and more at a semi-hands-on Fresh Pasta class with our Resident Chef! Gnocchi The perfect gnocchi are made with carefully selected, fresh ingredients as well as the perfect dough. Learn the art of rolling gnocchi one by one, the proper techniques for cooking gnocchi and how to pair different types of gnocchi with their perfect sauce in this semi-hands-on experience with our Resident Chef. Pizza If you’ve ever enjoyed a Neapolitan-style, perfectly chewy, personal pizza pie at Eataly, you have to thank Rossopomodoro, Italy’s premier producer of authentic Neapolitan pizza. Rossopomodoro is passionate, almost fanatical, about making a visit to one of their restaurants as similar as possible to eating in Naples itself, the birthplace of Italian pizza as we know it today. Join Eataly’s Rossopomodoro representatives on a flavorful journey to Naples as your group assists them in creating a variety of authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas that are then served to the group along with a pairing of 3 beers and wines chosen and explained by our Sommelier. Field Trip to the Greenmarket Come rain, shine or Polar Vortex, the renowned Union Square Greenmarket continues to offer hundreds of varieties of fresh, seasonal products to its dedicated New York locavores. Embark on a culinary adventure with the Resident Chef of La Scuola di Eataly, Chef Nicoletta, in this intimate, hands-on class as she explores the Greenmarket, which promotes regional agriculture by showcasing smaller local family farms, and explains how she makes her purchases for La Scuola. After selecting the ingredients, the group returns to La Scuola, where they prepare 4 simple, delicious dishes together. The group then sits communally to enjoy the menu that they curated and created together, along with a tasting of 4 wines and/or beers introduced and explained by our Sommelier. Class availability is subject to the Greenmarket schedule and runs approximately 4 hours in length.
