Words of the Week
Please look for the homework notebook/binder
coming home this week. Students will receive a
Homework Calendar each month that includes
reading, writing and mathematics experience.
In Science, we are talking about motion,
position, push, pull and gravity.
In Math, students are using rounding, place
value, addends, composing, decomposing, and
patterns to add and subtract numbers.
We encourage you to go over the calendar with
your child
students to think about the common good,
citizenship, traits, motivation and point of view.
This Month’s Highlights
We learned about each other through our Brown
Bag sharing. Who knew our students were so
well traveled and athletic!
Both classes are working toward the Rockin’ Eagle goal of
40 rewards, earned through working diligently and being
ready to learn, responsible and respectful.
Our Daily Five is underway and students have begun
reading their Realistic Fiction novels. Be sure to ask
about how the characters’ point of view and actions are
affecting the sequence of events in the story!
