We are pleased to announce the Third Annual
Pediatric Research Forum for Medical Students.

The Pediatric Research Forum for Medical Students is an exciting opportunity for
students to share their research with peers.
The event takes place Saturday September 3, 2016 at the Disney’s Grand
Floridian Resort & Spa in Orlando Florida.
Open to all medical students, this event takes place in conjunction with the
annual meeting of the FCAAP.
Platform and poster presentations will be available for basic-science, biomedical
engineering, translational or clinical research.
This program is sponsored by the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of
Pediatrics (FCAAP), the University of Florida Department of Pediatrics and
Boston Children’s Hospital.
Cash prizes will be given for the top oral and poster presentations: $500 for 1st;
$250 for 2nd; and $100 for 3rd.

There will be a keynote speech by Dr. Duane Mitchell, who is an international
expert in immunotherapy for brain tumors.
Dr. Mitchell was recently recognized for one of The Top 10 Discoveries of the year
in clinical medicine by the Clinical Research Forum.

Attendees)
Please register early, as attendance will be limited to the first 125 registrants and
registration closes July 15, 2016.
Under Registration Type, select Medical Student (Research Forum).
For Company, list your academic institution and year (MS1, MS2, etc.)
You may pay by check or credit card. This covers only the $50 meeting registration cost.
IF your institution will be paying your registration fee, do not submit payment. Instead, select “check” as
the Payment Method.

Submission Deadline: July 15, 2016. You will be receiving email notification of your acceptance and
presentation type by July 22, 2016.
*Hotel Accommodations (If You’d Like a Room)
The FCAAP has secured an amazing hotel room block discounted rate at $199 per night (plus tax and
fees) for Friday and Saturday.
There’s also an option for students to request that a student from another medical school be “matched ”
with them to share a room and split costs!
