The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking two (2) students who are capable of the following:
1. Enter developer and Capital Improvement Civil drawings into the mapping database
2. Update the District's planning layer and audit civil information in other agencies public mapping system
3. Create maps within the Engineering Group of for other District customers
4. Perform GIS research within District and county archives
5. Work with survey staff to become proficient on District GPS units and perform field work to verify
previously submitted information
The students (Intern I or II) are paid based on the number of credits they have earned:
0 to 30 - $14 per hour
31 to 60 - $15 per hour
61 to 90 - $16 per hour
91 and above - $17 per hour
Anyone interested in the field (or think they are interested in the field) and eager to learn and contribute is
encouraged to apply, including engineering/construction management students.
While this is the sewer plant, there are many design, construction management, inspection, and financial
activities/staff that these students will interact with daily.
We are flexible on the days/hours the students can work but would like them to commit between 15 and 20
hours per week to the position for the Spring term and can then offer up to 40 hours over the summer
session (again, working around their classes if they have one or two).
