The first part of "Enchantment" ended with Barbara Nardi being taken to hospital with a risk of a miscarriage. She eventually loses the baby. When Barbara returns home Roberto confesses his brief relationship with Monika and the ensuing tragedy. Roberto asks forgiveness. Barbara decides to give him another chance, and they go on a holiday. Thomas relaunches Life, with Giovanna managing the clinic. She persuades Barbara to return to her job and hires a famous plastic surgeon from Brazil, Diego Olivares. Meanwhile Massimo’s prison sentence is commuted to a term in a rehabilitation centre. Marco, a renowned surgeon, has come to the Life clinic from Brazil, while Caterina, a girl of humble origin, is hired as a nurse. Caterina falls in love with Marco, but he is still recovering from the betrayal of his wife Rita, who arrives in Italy to win him back. An envious colleague forces Caterina to flee the clinic, and at the same time a mysterious individual begins to blackmail Marco. Meanwhile, the baby that Caterina secretly keeps in an orphanage turns out to be the child of a friend who was raped by the man Caterina believes is her father.
