Laura is having a coffee. Chiedere “to ask for things” – Chiedi una penna a Randy? – Are you going to ask Randy for a pen? – Lui chiede che tempo fa? – He’s asking how the weather is? Piacere “to express likes and dislikes” – It is mostly used for 3rd person singular or plural. – Agrees with the object rather than the subject. – Mi piace la pizza. (I like the pizza.) – Mi piacciono le pizze. (I like the pizzas.) Piacere (Continuato) – Use a + (name/noun) instead of pronoun (mi, ti, le, gli ci, vi) to specify to whom you are referring. – Be sure to use the definite article with nouns in the structure. – A Stefano non piacciono gli esami. – Stefano does not like the exams.
