Negoziante: Costa venti euro.
Shopkeeper: It’s twenty Euros.

Customer: And this?
Negoziante: Trenta euro.
Shopkeeper: Thirty Euros.
Cliente: Buon giorno. Quanto costano
questi?
Customer: Good day. How much are these?
Negoziante: Costano quaranta euro.
Cliente: E queste?
Negoziante: Sessanta.
Shopkeeper: They are forty Euros.
Customer: And these?
Shopkeeper: Sixty.
You are out shopping and you see an item you would like to buy, so you ask the shopkeeper Scusi,
quanto costa questo? Excuse me, how much is this?
The first word scusi is a formal way to say excuse me.
This is followed by two words quanto costa, meaning how much is.
The last word is questo, which means this, masculine singular.
The shopkeeper will then answer with the price. In the dialog we saw Costa venti euro. It’s twenty
Euros.
